Warehouse Laborer – Big Lake, MN

The Warehouse Laborer receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, check in merchandise, match purchase orders to sales orders, and distribute appropriately
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or color
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintain clean shipping supply area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Sweet, dust, and mop work stations; organize warehouse work area of orderliness at all times
  • Prepare parcels for shipping

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 6+ months applicable labor experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to adapt to abrupt changes in the work environment while management competing demands, dealing with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for long periods of time

 

Office Coordinator/Receptionist – Bemidji, MN

The primary functions of this position will be:

  • Answer and determine purpose of incoming calls, if needed, forward to appropriate personnel
  • Order, receive, and maintain office supplies
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying and collating
  • Welcome and determine nature of on-site visits, accommodate as needed
  • Answer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions, and other information as needed
  • Serve as point-person for local Foreman inquiries (supplies, memos, etc.)
  • Edit and submit weekly payroll
  • Process in-coming and out-going packages
  • Organize and submit invoices and packaging slips

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 2+ years clerical experience
  • Ability to maintain good working relationship with customers, employees, and department staff
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of files and other documents
  • Demonstrated record of good work attendance and reliability
  • Professional demeanor and orientation toward customer service

Preferred

  • Some college in office administration, business, communications or related field
  • Construction administration experience

 

Safety Coordinator 
Job Description

The primary functions of this position are:

  • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
  • Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture
  • Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitory and use of safety equipment
  • Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents and occupational injuries to determine cause, install preventative measures and manage return-to-work activities
  • Perform safety audits and inspect job sites, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Willingness to travel

 Requirements to perform the essentials functions of this position, an individual should possess and demonstrate the following:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Progressive field safety/construction experience
  • Strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA)
  • OSHA 510/500 Certified
  • OQ Evaluator
  • The ability to adapt to abrupt changes in the work environment while managing competing demands, dealing with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
